Mobile ID and Benefits Access Hubs are taking place in Durham Region this April and May!

Hub locations Dates and times

Scugog Memorial Public Library 231 Water Street, Port Perry Monday, April 22 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Oshawa Public Libraries – McLaughlin Branch 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa Thursday, April 25 1 to 6 p.m.

South Oshawa Community Centre 1455 Cedar Street, Oshawa Tuesday, May 7 2:30 to 6 p.m.

Uxbridge Public Library 9 Toronto Street South, Uxbridge Friday, May 10 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

The hubs can help clients and residents living with low income to:

 

Piggy Bank outlineOpen a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and apply for the Canada Learning Bond.

If eligible, this means free money for post-secondary school.

 

Employee badge outlineAccess Social Insurance Numbers (SINs), Birth Certificates and other ID.

ID is needed to apply for benefits like the Canada Learning Bond.

 

Unlock outlineGet their taxes filed for free.

Filing taxes may unlock benefits that can put more money in their pockets.

 

Tooth outlineSign up for the new Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Eligible residents (starting with seniors) can get help with various dental care costs through this new plan.

Money outline

Learn about other income-boosting benefits that they may be eligible for.
